Support MiVaBo
Because we take each other into account
Happiness can not be expressed in money. But when MiVaBo gets the job done to make the life of a disabled person more comfortable we guarantee that this person becomes a happier person. What should have been the costs, the help of MivaBo?
If you support MiVaBo, you support a lot of Bonaireans. Anyone who has any limitation and who can use help for this. Placing a parking sign for the disabled, legislation for the accessibility of public buildings, telling him that he is entitled to a free aid. Taking care of this costs a lot of money.
How can you support MiVaBo doing its job?
- Donate money: Every penny is welcome. We are happy with large and small sponsors.
Click here if you want to support us financially. Thank you very much! - Sponsoring in kind: Make a meeting room available, print our brochure por nada. Click here and let us know what you have to offer. Great!
- Personal assistance: Sign up as a volunteer. We look for all kinds of disciplines such as a coffee lady or gentleman, a translator or a web administrator. Click here and tell us what you could and would like to do. See you soon!
Where does the sponsor money go?
MiVaBo lobbies government and business and holds information campaigns for both disabled and disabled Bonaireans. The money is spent on that. The money does not go to individual people. However, it is possible that MiVaBo chooses to support another social organization financially if that fits the objectives. And the result of all this work is of course for all residents of the island!
The costs of lobbying and PR activities mainly consist of paper, ink, postage, telephone calls, gas, brochures, stickers, software and conference locations??? Part of these costs are currently still being paid by the volunteers themselves. They do not receive any compensation for their paper, telephone and gasoline. Not for their time either. That’s okay. But they cannot bear the cost of printing 500 brochures, booking a conference room or 60 times 2 cups of coffee, 3 glasses of soda and 2 rolls.
Fortunately, many local companies are prepared to make MiVaBo “por nada” available for everything. Up to their staff. But that is not possible with everything and always. That is why we also need cash.
How do we render account?
MiVaBo is a foundation and is registered with the Chamber of Commerce on Bonaire. The organization is therefore an official legal entity and therefore prepares financial statements. All amounts received and spent again are processed in this. These financial statements will also be accompanied by an annual report in which all figures are explained in detail.
During the year you can follow the activities and activities of MiVaBo on this website. In addition, you will hopefully read, hear and see via local media what we do.
In this way you know for sure that your money will be spend well.
